Otero College will be hosting a Frost Fest event for the community on December 6th, from 4-7 p.m. This is a free event and open to the community. There will be an ice skating rink, a tree lighting ceremony as well as fun holiday themed booths with activities, crafts, holiday treats, a petting zoo and more. Santa and Mrs. Clause will also be in attendance. Please see the flyer for more information.

All Rocky Ford Schools will remain on lockout (secure) status for the remainder of the school day, per the recommendation of the Rocky Ford Police Department. Students will not be allowed to leave until regular dismissal time. Dismissal will occur at the regular time and buses will run as usual.

An unarmed individual entered Rocky Ford Jr/Sr High School this morning, and did not check in at the office. He was confronted by administration and escorted out of the building. RFJSHS initiated a lockdown and the police were notified. All schools remain on a modified lockout at this time. No students/staff may come or go from campuses at this time. All students will remain in the building for lunch and recess.
