We’re excited to welcome families to Field Day and Awards for Rocky Ford Elementary students on Thursday, May 28!
Parents/guardians are welcome to go directly to the football field—no need to check in at the office.
If you plan to check your child out for lunch or for the day, please find your child’s teacher and sign them out with the teacher.
For the awards ceremony, parents/guardians may enter through the main entrance and head to the Auxiliary Gym. At the conclusion of the awards, you are welcome to go to the cafeteria to check your child out with a staff member who will have a sign-out sheet.
We look forward to seeing you and celebrating a fun day together!

All student medications will be sent home on Thursday, May 28. If your child will be absent that day, please notify the office so arrangements can be made to send medications home sooner.
Please note: all ADHD medications must be picked up by an adult.
Any medications not picked up by Friday, May 29, will be properly disposed of.

Rocky Ford School District has been celebrating its outstanding staff this week in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week! 🎉
Throughout the week, staff members have been treated to daily surprises as a small token of appreciation for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to our students and community.
We are grateful for everything our staff does each day to support, inspire, and make a difference. Thank you for all that you do!

This year’s trip to state was a bittersweet one, as it marked the final FFA competition for our seniors.
The Veterinary Science Team had a strong showing, earning a bronze medal as a team. Individually, Omar Ocana and Haylee Encinias each earned silver medals, with Abby Encinias also contributing as a member of the team. Over the past two years, this group has built an impressive record—winning OPSU twice and earning gold at state last year.
The Livestock Evaluation Team also represented us well, winning the district contest earlier this season. While they did not find the same success at state, we are proud of their accomplishments and dedication.
We are incredibly proud of all of our FFA members for their hard work, commitment, and the way they represent our school and community.
