RFJSHS: School is up and running! We want to make sure students have all the supports they need! Friday School kicks off this Friday (9/15) and Extended Day starts next Monday (9/18). These are both great opportunities for students who are struggling to complete their work with our staff right there to help them out! If you want to learn more, reach out to your student's advisor or call the school office.

BOCES is hosting their annual Substitute Information Night. See the flyer for more details.

RFJSHS invites the Senior Class of 2024 to kick-off their senior year with a Sunrise Breakfast!! Join us on the football field at 6:00am tomorrow, 9/5/23.

RFJSHS welcomes back ALL of our students! School resumes at 7:45 am on TUESDAY, Sept. 5. Parents, please join us at this same time for Orientation (8a-10a). See you soon!!

RFSD Parents: Make sure you have downloaded the Rocky Ford app so that you can use our new Rooms tool to communicate with teachers this year. You will be receiving an email invite soon asking you to join Rooms. This will replace the variety of communication tools being used previously so now you will only need one app for all of your kids and their teachers!

After consulting with the early childhood experts in our area, Rocky Ford School District estimates that nearly 20 preschool students have not registered for preschool services! If you have a preschool age child or know of someone that does, please have them contact the district at 719-254-7423 or CDS at 719-384-3100. We will make sure that all preschool age children, regardless of family income level, will receive a full day of preschool for free!

One of the most interesting aspects of the RFSD construction project was watching the installation of the walls for the new auxiliary gym. Here is a time-lapse video showing some of that work from Monday, August 21. https://youtu.be/HfxaV6XxYcM

The progress on the Rocky Ford School District construction project is amazing! Here is a link to a time-lapse video of the east side of the project (PK/K addition, Administration Office addition, and 1st grade - 6th grade two-story addition). https://youtu.be/qRtSs85A0-g

Rocky Ford School District would like to encourage all families in the area with four-year-olds to register for preschool services. This will be Colorado's first year of Universal Preschool and the enrollment process has been confusing. However, between the school district, CDS Head Start, and Universal Preschool, we will ensure that all four-year-olds receive a full day of preschool services for free! Three-year-olds are also eligible for services if they meet certain criteria. You can register your student for preschool by visiting the Grand Valley preschool building on Highway 10 or ask about it at today's district-wide registration at Jefferson!
