Mrs. Marlow's 2nd grade class was identified as close contacts and have been asked by public health to quarantine until September 6. The Rocky Ford School District is excited to announce the first public meeting to discuss the $40 million BEST Grant and upcoming bond measure. The meeting will be at Washington Primary School on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 7 pm. This is an informational meeting giving citizens a chance to ask questions and tour the WPS facility.
Washington Primary School Staff is so excited to all your bright shiny faces tomorrow morning (Aug. 16)! We are completely mask free! Breakfast begins at 7:20am. Classes begin at 7:45am. Kindergarten group A students will be joining us on both Aug. 16 and Aug. 17.

A reminder from Rocky Ford School District:
Registration for all new and returning students will take place on August 4th & 5th at the high school cafeteria from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Also, we have received a few questions about possible COVID restrictions when school starts. Fortunately, the district will have an almost normal start to the school year: no masks and no daily health screenings. If students or staff members wish to wear a face mask, they may do so but it will not be a requirement. This is due to the low infection rates in Otero County. Please contact the schools or Central Office for any questions.

Note: Friday July 30th will be the last day Grab N Go Meals will be available at Rocky Ford School District. We look forward to serving all the students in the school cafeterias again beginning August 16th.

There was a mistake on Rocky Ford School District's plan for instructional services for the upcoming school year. The plan indicated that August 17th would be the first day of classes, which is incorrect. The first day of classes for all students will actually be August 16th.
