R2 Recognition
Students:
Faith Wirth, Senior, Rocky Ford Junior Senior High School: Faith is being recognized because she was selected as a finalist for the 2024 Daniels Fund Scholarship. This is a prestigious scholarship that would follow Faith to the college or university of her choice, inside or outside of Colorado. Faith is preparing for her final interview and we are wishing her the best of luck, the type of luck that happens when preparation meets opportunity. (We are proud of Faith and the hard work she put in to reach this point.)
Staff:
Ray Rodriguez, Head Custodian, Washington Elementary School: Ray is being recognized for his quick response to a problem with the boiler system at Washington Elementary School. Ray identified a problem with a pump, secured the help that he needed for parts and labor, and made sure the work was complete before the pump failed entirely which would have brought down the entire boiler system. We appreciate the constant vigilance that our custodians employ with the care of our buildings!
